Springfields Data Systems Limited - Exclusive Distributor for RISO Kagaku Corporation of Japan

Riso Kagaku Corporation was incorporated in 1955. Since then RISO has become the established world leader in emulsion Ink, Thermal paper and Digital Duplicating Technologies.

RISO is the inventor of the Digital Duplicating process and is the largest manufacturer of Digital Duplicating System in the world.

Computer networks are changing and diversifying rapidly. Printing systems must be developed to match the networks. RISO digital printers distinguished by their ease -of -use and ability to print large volumes quickly and at low cost are well suited to network use. They are highly LAN compatible as well as being able to print easily from PCs. Therefore well placed to take advantage of the current expansion in network use.

Riso emphasised printers that are suitable for network environment. A high speed digital printer that raises network printing to new levels in terms of speed, clarity and cost-efficiency.

Launch of RISOGRAPH RP 210 for Network Printing

We launched the RISOGRAPH RP 210 high speed digital printer in April 2000. The RISOGRAPH RP 210, designed to raise network printing to a new level of efficiency, is ideal for corporate Local area network (LAN) systems. Linked with the RISOGRAPH RP 210, personal computers can activate on demand large volume printing of general documents,
vouchers, direct mail (DM) and flyers at high speed, with high definition and at low cost. A very important feature of the RISOGRAPH RP 210 is that a PC operator can monitor the current state of the printing process on his or her own screen.
The RISOGRAPH RP 210 can be used for PC interface printing ,LAN printing , conventional type printing ,etc., which can satisfy most office printing needs
Caring for the Environment

Developing products and business activities that take into account the need to conserve resources is basic to our thinking.

The new RESOGHRPH RE series is an excellent example of this approach. We collect used digital RISOGRAPH, repair and refinish them using the latest technologies, and lease them to customers and provide the appropriate after sales services.

In June 1999, we started to supply a recycled paper called Riso Kankyo Yoshi Kenaf 10 for use with RISOGRAPH. This paper bears the "TREE FREE"make of the Japan Ecology foundation. Conventional recycled paper makes up 50% of Riso Kankyo Yoshi Kenaf 10 and Kenaf, which is non-wooden, accounts for a further 10%. A percentage of the selling price is earmarked for environmental purposes, including re-afforestation.

The recycling of used RISOGRAPH ink bottles is an ongoing activity to make effective use of resources. The bottles are processed into granule form and used to make parts for the RISOGRAPH. The granules are also used to make clothes hangers, planters and other daily-life goods, and are used as an alternative fuel source.
Introduction of RISO MEISTER CP 150 At Print Techno

We established the print techno chain three years ago to provide a vide range of printing services for business and personal users. The number of participating stores has now passed the 600 mark, an indication that print techno makes a useful contribution to the life of local communities.

In fiscal 2001, we intend to strengthen the card printing business of print techno by introducing the RISO MEISTER CP 150, a digital card printer designed for small-size materials, including DM, greeting cards, business cards and envelopes. The RISO MEISTER is distinguished by its 600 dpi resolution and a paper carriage system that ensures the level of accuracy required for small size materials.

print techno lineup includes the creation of flyers, bulletins, private book publishing and private letterheads.

RISOGRAPH FR 395N and SC7700 Controller Launched

In May 1999, we launched the RISOGRAPH FR 395 N, a quiet, high-speed digital printer for large-volume printing up to A3 size. The RISOGRAPH FR 395 N, positioned at the top of the FR series range, can be used in a number of network environments, including LAN within corporations.

In September 1999, we launched the SC 7700, a special raster Image processor (RIP) designed for a diverse range of large-scale printing operations, including DTP, within network environments. This advanced controller is pre-loaded with adobe postscript 3, and can output script data created by graphic layout software at the design and digital processing site, it has a number of outstanding functions, including excellent response to high-speed LAN networks and convenient monitoring and control functions of printing jobs.

Expansion of PRINT GOCCO Series

During fiscal 2000, we launched two new models in our range of compact personal stencil printers.

PRINT GOCCO DIGITAL, a digital stencil making machine, dispenses with the need for a lamp by employing a digital scanner, it is designed to appeal to those who use their printer on a regular, multi-purpose basis.
